The Firm’s Story
Mountain View Insurance Solutions was founded in 2016 with the goal of serving the local community of Harford County, MD. Jesse Cunningham IV and son, Jesse Cunningham V, decided to combine their expertise of over 35 years experience in the insurance industry and form Mountain View Insurance Solutions.
Sometimes people ask us, “what does Mountain View mean” or “is Mountain View named after the California town?” It is actually named after the town where Jesse Cunningham V lived and met his wife, which is on the Big Island of Hawaii. Mountain View is between the town of Hilo (which is close to the beach pictured above) and the town of Volcano. You can google the neighborhood of Fern Forest or Glenwood Rd to get an exact location. It is about 2600 foot elevation and it actually gets pretty cold. It also rains a ton. Easily above 200 inches of rain a year. So much rain that our dog’s water dishes were filled 90% of the time from the rain.While living in Mountain View Jesse V worked for a Hilo State Farm Agent. This is where Jesse learned the skills to eventually move back to my hometown and open our independent agency.
So in 2016 Jesse & Jesse decided combine forces to better serve their clients. Father, Jesse Cunningham IV, focuses on wealth preservation and leverages the guarantees of insurance products. Jesse Cunningham V focuses on car, home, and umbrella packages to protect their client’s assets. We have been blessed by our growing client base. We look forward to what is ahead! Jesse Cunningham IV
Jesse Cunningham IV is a relationship driven professional, dedicated to assisting individuals and families in the area of income preservation, asset protection, and legacy distribution in order to provide financial security. His passion is to help families protect and navigate their financial world. This passion is driven by his personal experience watching clients, and his own parents, and seeing the burden that financial and health issues can have on them.
Jesse has worked in the financial industry for over 33 years. Early on, he found value in being an independent financial professional as this gave him the opportunity to offer his clients solutions to fit their individual needs. He is on the board of the Community Foundation of Harford County.
Jesse’s business is built on the principal of the importance of supporting and serving people in his community. Not only does he work with “baby boomers” and retirees in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, but he also works with the next generation of clients who seek guidance and need advice.
When Jesse isn’t working, you can usually find him doing outdoor activities, including fishing and family walks.

Jesse Cunningham V
Jesse Cunningham V started his insurance career at State Farm where he learned the basics of car insurance, home insurance, life insurance, and disability insurance. He was very fortunate to have a great mentor to teach him the fundamentals of proper protection based insurance. That is where the philosophy of “appropriate coverage that is affordable” came from.
Jesse makes a point to be involved in the local community. Recent activities include: Harford Leadership Academy 2019 member, Board Member of local non-profit Breathe 379 based in Edgewood, MD, President of the local non profit Z-Hope Harford County, host of the Local Professional Interview Sessions, and Bauple – Insurance Simplified, a website dedicated to helping others understand insurance as well as helping other insurance agents grow their businesses.
He is a Harford County native, Calvert Hall alumn, blessed husband, and a father of two sons and a daughter. When not serving his clients he can be found hiking, fishing, or reading classic science fiction novels.
